Awareness Week

This week awareness week for people like myself who suffer from spina bifda and hydrocephalus. Soi thought it would be good to talk on it a little. This type of illness is the type to have so many various kinds, that no two people with the same type will suffer the same medical issues. Also with this illness there are five different types and some people will still be able to walk and others like myself will have to use a wheelchair to get around. If there is one thing I have learnt from it! Is that I do t let it get in the way of my life.

Hi Everyone

So last night I was out at the shops and seen sliver lining play book for sale. This a film that I always wanted to see, never got the last to. I just had to buy it, when it was down to a good price. I didn't get watching it last night, I will be watching it at some point over the weekend. Really looking its going to be as good as everyone says it is.

Including disabled people in television adverts

Hi Everyone

I know I haven't updated in a while....sorry! I just have been really busy in work and other things in life.  Last night I was sitting watching some tv show and during the advert I came across a new one, that I hadn't seen before. That first I thought there were promoting wheelchair basketball, u til I seen the whole advert. I was totally wrong. Just from seeing this advert I was so glad to see an able disable people and wheelchair sport all put into the one advert. So I thought I would share it with you all.

When the weather is Great....

So for about the last three weeks the weather in Northern Ireland has been totally amazing. When the weather is great, it's not a bad place to live. As I'm out an about being able to exercise, relax in the sun or just go sit by the harbour and watch the world go by.

Wardrode Wednesday

Recently I got a new crepe jacket which I'm loving to wear on night out. Its great for a person in a wheelchair as it short lenght and doesn't get in the way of the wheels. Most clothing stores are selling these jacket, so they are easy to find if you are looking for one. The jacket I got is navy, looks the same as the picture below.

When I was in North Carolina I did get the chance to meet her in person. Seriously some of her music suggestion are the best I have come across. Working in the Real World

Hi Everyone

Sorry for my lack of updates this week. I have started my firstroper job, just haven't found the time to  be able to update this week. I promise once I get settled into work and into a better routine I will start to update my blog again. For all those who are wondering my first week went really well, everyone is lovely to me. At the start of the week I was very overwhelmed by all the different infirmation I was by people. it was a shocked to the system having to get up early again and by the end of the week I felt dead haha.The first few days I was a little worried about doing things wrong, once I got into the way of it everything was great. I'm really enjoying what I'm doing and it a very accessible job for my disability. At the minute it for four months, so all I can do now is hope that I will kept on in the job. I just thought I give you all a quick update on what has been going on with me.

So this week instead of talking about clothes and fashion, I thought that I would pick something a little different. This week I thought I would show you all my hand cycle, which really just is a bike for a disabled person. If you are a disabled person reading this entry and looking for something to help you exercise I seriously suggestion you look into getting yourself one of these. Recently I have become more and more addicted to Pinterest. There is loads of different ideas to share and repin, from all different people. My favourite would have to be the quote section, just sitting reading all the inspiring things that people post. I thought I would share with you, that ones that have made a difference in my life.

This a remember that God is always there. He is there to challenge your mind in your relationship of trusting him with your life.

This something we so easily forget in life. Is so important to remember.

Wheelchair Wednesday

So the weather here is very cold and wet right now. I'm still trying to go out as much as I can and do some exercise. The key with this for me is staying warm so that I don't get sick. I'm going to share with you a few fashion items I used to stay warm, while out in the cold.

Wheelchair Wednesday

Hi Everyone

So I'm guessing we all got some lovely clothes over the Christmas period. You may have treated yourself to something nice in the New Year's sales. I know a lot of my friends very got new shoes for going on night out and different event. For me with my disability trying to find the right pair of shoes is a total nightmare. Its safe to say I only own about three pair of shoes, one of which are a pair of black uggs style boots.

As a don't have a thing about shoes, my favourite thing to buy is scarves. I'm totally addicted to them and have about 15 different ones. Being in the wheelchair they are easy to wear and don't get in the way, unless sometimes when its windy and I'm lifting my chair into my chair (that's the only time). Back in the summer when I was on holiday, I got to different scarves. One from the Disney store and one from Tommy Hilfiger. At the moment I'm totally in love with my Disney one and wear it all the time.  Just from looking on the Internet earlier I can't seem to find any pictures of the ones I have, so I'm unable to show you sorry.

Another item of clothing that I'm loving at the minute and is easy for a person in a wheelchair to wear, is my Aeropostale hoodies. I got two new ones for Christmas, which I still have yet to try on. I'm very sure that I will mostly likely be wearing them some point this week. As they are also great at keeping me warm when I'm out doing exercise.

Hi Everyone

"Some people swear there's no beauty left in the world, no magic. Then how do you explain the entire world coming together on one night to celebrate the hope of a new year?"

This is something we all have to think about every year on New Year's Eve when everyone is getting ready at different times throughout the day to bring in the New Year. No matter where you live in the world, everyone gets a New Year and a new start to make a difference with their life.

Well we are all now safely into 2013. I would like to wish you all a very Happy, Healthy, Safe and Peaceful year. I'm sure many of you had great fun at different parties with family and friends last night to bring in the New Year.

Last night I was just at home with family having food, drinks and watching a few different films that were on TV. I  have to say that is the best type of New Year's Eve for me, just sitting relaxing and reflecting on the past year. In this incoming year a lot of new exciting experiences happening in my life I hope everything will run smooth. I know there will be up and downs at some point throughout the year.

This year I going to try to have a better and more positive outlook on life. Just take each day one step at a time, I know with God on my side and putting my trust and faith in him. 2013 is going to so much better than last year. Whatever choices you have decided to make for this New Year, I wish you all the very best and hope 2013 is a great year for you too.

Just one last quote to let you think about for this year.
